Philips Enters Local HVAC Arena with High-Efficiency Inverter Lineup

Global technology brand Philips has officially entered the Philippine residential and commercial air conditioning market. The brand unveiled its new cooling lineup during the Philconstruct Expo at the SMX Convention Center Manila on June 27, 2026, marking the launch through an exclusive distribution partnership with Mulson’s Trading Corporation.

The expansion comes as local energy costs and seasonal temperatures continue to rise, driving market demand for high-efficiency cooling systems. The newly introduced portfolio includes the Air Series, Classic Series, Noble Series, Elite Series, and a dedicated line of window-type inverter units.

The Residential and Commercial Lineup

Philips structured its initial local release to address different residential layouts, space constraints, and user preferences. The baseline split-type offering is the Air Series Inverter, which focuses on standard residential cooling. Available in capacities of 1.0 HP, 1.5 HP, 2.0 HP, and 2.5 HP, these units utilize eco-friendly R32 refrigerant and standard inverter technology to manage power consumption. For connected households, the Classic Series Inverter integrates built-in WiFi connectivity within the same capacity range, allowing users to monitor operational status and control the units remotely via smartphone.

To address properties with limited wall space, such as studio apartments and condominiums, the Window-Type Inverter Series offers compact, localized cooling with remote-control functionality and inverter systems that bypass the need for complex split-system piping. Additionally, the premium Noble and Elite Series were previewed during the expo, with local availability scheduled for later this year to address high-end residential and commercial architectural projects.

Technical and Protective Specifications

To suit the humid tropical climate of the Philippines, the units are equipped with several localized protective and air-quality technologies. A primary feature is the Golden Fin Protection, an anti-corrosive coating applied to the condenser fins designed to resist rust and corrosion caused by high humidity and salty air, particularly in coastal developments. For indoor air quality, the systems integrate Cold Plasma and Smart Core Self-Clean technologies, which work to reduce airborne dust and allergens while preventing internal mold growth. The units also feature multi-dimensional noise reduction engineering, minimizing operating sound during low-load periods to ensure quiet indoor comfort.

Leadership and Local Distribution

The launch was attended by executive representatives from both organizations. The delegation from Philips Air Conditioner included Mr. Wu Xiao Tu (Chief Executive Officer), Mr. Ming Jing Gan (General Manager of the Overseas Business Department), Mr. Ruslan Abudureyim (Regional Director for Southeast Asia), and Mr. Xu Yang (Product Manager). Representing Mulson’s Trading Corporation were Mr. Vijay Mirpuri (Chairman) and Mr. Mahesh Mirpuri (President).

Under the formalized agreement, Mulson’s Trading Corporation serves as the sole distributor in the Philippines, managing nationwide distribution, technical installation, and after-sales maintenance services.

The new air conditioning units are now available through authorized dealers and local HVAC specialists. Technical specifications, dealer locations, and site survey requests can be coordinated directly through Mulson’s Trading Corporation at +63 917 531 2587 or at their office located at Lot 6, Capri Road, Barangay Cupang, Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila.
