The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and the Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) are set to award individual land titles to nearly 1,000 family-beneficiaries, marking a key milestone in the national rollout of the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.
DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling and SHFC President Federico Laxa will lead the ceremonial distribution under the government’s Enhanced Community Mortgage Program (ECMP). The event will directly benefit about 1,000 families, representing more than 3,000 individuals, across various homeowners and neighborhood associations from multiple regions nationwide.
The ECMP serves as a community-led, pro-poor housing initiative under the broader Expanded 4PH framework. Designed to assist low-income and informal settler families, the program enables organized communities to collectively acquire and own the land they occupy through affordable long-term financing modalities.
Since the revitalization of the Enhanced Community Mortgage Program, the DHSUD has approved a total of 47 ECMP projects, securing land tenure and property rights for approximately 8,000 families across the country.
“Ang hangad ng Pangulong BBM ay mailapit ang makabuluhan at sapat na serbisyo sa ating mga kababayan. Sa parte ng DHSUD, patuloy naming isusulong ang pro-poor na ECMP sa ilalim ng Expanded 4PH,” Secretary Aliling said.
The upcoming title distribution reinforces ongoing efforts to combine large-scale vertical residential developments with community-driven land tenure solutions, addressing both urban land security and socialized housing needs across the Philippines.
