What’s New with the Warranty?
The new policy simplifies and extends the coverage, ensuring you can keep your tools running in top condition for longer. Here are some of the key highlights:
- 3.5 years limited warranty on Industrial and professional tools.
- 2 years warranty (1-time replacement) on XGT, LXT, and CXT batteries and chargers.
- 2 years limited warranty on MT Series tools, CXT tools, DC cleaning tools, G-Series tools, DC OPE, lifestyle appliances, other DC tools, submersible pumps, and AC/DC heatguns.
- 1 year warranty (1-time replacement) on lights, laser measuring tools, and G-Series and LXT basic batteries and chargers.
- 1 year limited warranty on Petrol Outdoor Power Equipment.
The Warranty Claiming Process
To take advantage of this enhanced coverage, remember these requirements:
- Check Warranty Period Confirm that the unit is still within the valid warranty period.
- Prepare Required Documents Secure the original proof of purchase (receipt or invoice) along with the warranty card.
- Visit an Authorized Service Center Bring the unit to the nearest Makita Authorized Service Center.
- Submit for Verification Present the unit along with the required documents for inspection to determine if the defect is covered under warranty.
- Receive Claim Outcome
- Approved claims: The unit will be repaired free of charge, except for consumables and accessories.
- Non-covered defects: A repair quotation will be provided for your approval.
- Pick-Up Notification The Makita Service Center will notify you once the unit has been repaired and is ready for collection.
